I haven't seen any of the Hobbit/LotR movies or read any of the books. Just the Silmarillion.

Any particular reason? At this point is it too late to change? I like but don’t love the movies tbh. I’ve read 1/2 the hobbit in elementary school and about one page of the first lotr books when I was on acid.
